The heat we have been having is getting me very nervous to run this race, the longest race I have ran! I wanted to pick up a fuel belt and I just have not got around to it so I will need to make sure that I stop at all the water stations.
Yesterday I headed into downtown Toronto to pick up my race kit. I drove down and what a mistake. There were accidents on every highway I went on both in and out of the city. It was a crazy amount of wasted time! But I got my race kit and I am ready to go for the race. Here is what my race kit consists of:
Yes I bit disappointed . Oh there was another magazine that I forgot to lay down for the picture. I do like the tech shirt, it is quite nice but this kit was definately lacking!
What was exciting was the new chip technology that is being used for the first time in Canada on this race. On this race there is no separate chip but there is a "MyLaps BIBTAGS", and it is behind the bib:
I just hope it works ;)
I did finally get my vehicle back yesterday......a full week without my vehicle is just torture for me and what was more torturous was paying $3000.00 yesterday....OMG.....well atleast I got it back and its working!
Fast forward to today.....I promised my daughter to take her to watch the new movie, "Despicable Me" and it was a very cute movie, we both enjoyed it.

So I didn't workout yesterday or today, I know bad but atleast I will be well rested for tomorrows race.
Heather @ Where's The Beach? awarded me with the Sugar Doll Award, thanks Heather!
So I accept the challenge! I need to tell you all 10 little facts about myself and pass it on to 3 to 5 other bloggers. Okay here are my facts:
1 - I am a total Beach Bum.....I am dying to live at the beach, honestly the only time I am completely happy is sitting on the beach watching the ocean. Yup I live in the wrong country.
2 - I am not a fan of chocolate, if I never had chocolate again I would be totally fine with it. I can not understand people's obsession with chocolate.
3 - I crave peanut butter. Since my daughter is allergic to peanuts I can't have any but I do dream about peanuts at times!
4 - Hubby and I have been together for 20 years.....wow.....I don't really remember life without him!
5 - Hubby's technical scuba diving scares the crap out of me. He dives so deep for so long, I am always worried about him.
6 - I have one tattoo and dying to get another but can't figure out what to get!
7 - Scared to death of getting pregnant again.....one is plenty and I had a terrible delivery so NEVER AGAIN!
8 - My daughter amazes me everyday......she is such a good person, better than me ;)
9 - I am petite....no not short, but petite. I am only 5'2" but petite women are cute ;)
10 - I am addicted to one soap opera, I PVR it every day and watch it when I can.....I love Days Of Our Lives.....LOL
Okay I am passing along this award to some bloggers that I would like to get to know a bit better.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. What are your weekend plans?
Ok, another unknown sister: I'm only 5'2" as well. I finally broke my Days addiction, but if I started watching...I'd be hooked again. I'm a beach bum, no chocolate gal as well. Have a great one girl!
ReplyDeleteNo chocolate but peanut butter? Wow!
ReplyDeleteHave a great run. I'll try to keep my eye out for you. Hopefully, we'll meet up:)
That's tough..loving peanut butter but not being able to have it! And no chocolate? I wish I could say the same.
ReplyDeleteHope the race went well!
Thank you for the award, Bela. I'm not sure there is anything about me that I have left unsaid. I don't hold anything back :).
ReplyDeletePretty neat details on you and you're right, petite gals are cute. But there is a definite disadvantage in the grocery aisles when the item you want is on the top shelf. ;)
As for that race, when do we get to hear how great you did? Can't wait to hear. Hope it was a fantastic race for you.
