Thursday morning I woke up early and headed for a run on Hollywood Beach. It was already hot at 7:30am, yes I should have woken up earlier but I am on vacation.....LOL I had a great but sweaty run but it had distractions. There were some gorgeous seashells just north of where we were enjoying the beach the last few days and I had no choice but to stop and pick them up. I have always been fascinated with seashells and my daughter is also fascinated by them. She has actually been making seashell sculptures at the condo at night, they are very cute! So I just had to stop when I saw a nice one. Luckily my running shorts has a small pocket so I could put some there while I was running but it wasn't the most comfortable run! I don't know how many miles I ran, I left Lulu at home (my Garmin) but I knew I just wanted to enjoy my runs on the beach and not calculate them. Here is the beach just north of our condo, the direction I ran Thursday morning:

We then spent the morning at the beach and the evening at the pool.

Friday we decided to spend the day at the famous "South Beach" in Miami. So we headed into Miami for the day:

Here is the famous South Beach:

We decided to stay near 7th.....its more of a family part of the beach, after 13th you get the really interesting characters but I think a few decided to venture south yesterday. Its a great beach to people watch and I was very tempted to take pictures of these interesting characters but decided against that.....LOL The beach did get VERY busy around lunch time but it was a great day in SoBe:
Thanks for sharing all of these awesome beach pictures. SOOOO wish I was there.
ReplyDeleteWow, these pictures could be out of a tourist brochure. You two look amazing.
ReplyDeleteAt first, when you talked about distractions, I somehow threw in the word "guys". Now, go back, reread and substitute that for every time you wrote seashells. It turns out being quite funny!
Very nice. Running on the beach is always a challenge. Doing it barefoot is even funner. It's the only place I will run "Barefoot" for now. And that is once a decade. Looks like you are having a blast. Thanks for sharing the pics. Any races on your vacation in the spots you are going to? LuLu? lol. That was the name of my belated Pug Dog. how cute. Take care and have a good one. Enjoy.
